Over the past few weeks I've been lucky enough to visit a few historical sites whilst on holiday in North America-Fort Ticonderoga (Carillon), Yorktown, Fort McHenry, Quebec. Whilst in the Plains of Abraham museum I came upon these cabinets with dioramas in them. They are all 1/72 plastic figures from all the usual makes and someone has gone to a lot of effort to be as creative as possible for a period of history that is not well covered in 1/72. The painting and basing is all very basic, but i did take great joy in looking at these displays and imagining the fun someone would have gone to in putting them together. They represent various stages of the siege of Quebec (including attack on Beaufort, various raids, Sainte Foy in 1760).
I thought I'd share the photos (which are not very good-sorry!) in case anyone else is interested. If anyone is ever planning on visiting Quebec (which you should as it is a lovely city!), I would highly recommend the museum.
