My latest purchase

This was just a quickie to show the houses, but I can tell the end of the story. She-Lob trips on a house a fall. And is overcome by the brave soldier who escorts her back to her prison. And the village rejoice for seven full days.

As i thought before one of the figs in the black rider set is "the mouth of Sauron"!!. Great sculpting although being kings of men then could have made them a little bit bigger)

the sculpting of these sets is really amazing, i mean just look at these
Image

But the same is to be said of the linaer-A set the folk of judea ...fantastic

Looking at the composition of your order, one can guess what your tastes are, Jan. ;-)

Except for the Assyrian winged sphinxes and a few figures I cannot identify (perhaps modern or WWII), the rest are all from the ACW, both military and civilian. Am I right?

They certainly seem fantastic figures.

Very good stuff there Jan! Can't wait to see it all painted. Or any of it, to tell the truth.

Placed an order for metal Koreans, Saracens and Mongols from Tumbling Dice and they arrived after 4 days, very impressed! Also got some medieval Red Box Korean cavalry.

Yes you are right! Most of the figures are for the ACW. I like the idea to make a party scene with some southern belles. Maybe Speira will make some more civilian men for that period or another type of racing couple. In any case their figures are great.

Haha, I'll do their job for them. I'll find a moment when I can, it's been raining so much where I am and I like natural sunlight for my photos.

Hey,

For anyone wanting photos of the Tumbling Dice minis, because the website doesn't contain them: I took photos. Please note that this isn't all the models you get in the set, I just took photos of unique poses, so it doesn't necessarily reflect how many figures you get in the bag:

Korean Peasants with Coolie Hats

Korean Skirmishers

Korean Spearmen

Korean Heavy Infantry

I'll probably review them by video at some point, but this gives you an idea of what the sculpts are like.

It's been a busy week for the postman with three separate deliveries
First was a ebay win of some TYW artillery, as I need the limbers for my War of Spanish Succession armies. It also came with a set of old Esci WW2 Japanese that will come in useful when I get around to Battlegroup Pacific.
Image

Next a batch of PSC kits from Models2u, I had tried getting them from PSC in their sale, but they weren't covered by the sale and they charged 10% for delivery. Models2u gave a 10% discount and free delivery for the amount I ordered so a no-brainer.
Image

Finally and delightfully, an ebay win of some Linear-A figures. To my surprise the seller DH follows my blog and added some extras to amuse me and they certainly did. There are quite a lot of useful bits and pieces and the temptation of some Caesar WW2 Chinese.
Image

Quite a lot to keep me busy and particular thanks to DH.

Hmm, for this I partly blame carlosfaro and Dykio! Was at Drum and flag and saw that they had one box of Revell's Nappie Prussians for decent price. And since I saw the very nice work on LOTR-stuff here on the forum lately I ordered my first fantasy figures in 1/72 (I have some Prince August-molds and some Mithril-figures, but they are NOT 1/72). So here's the list:

Dark Alliance:
Heavy warriors of the dead
Heavy warriors of the dead cavalry
Southern Kingdom warriors
Modern mounted amazons
Cimmerians set II
Mummies
some of these can make some nice Nazguls on foot

Caesar Orcs set II
I have the crusaders, but they are a bit too small for my other Medievals so maybe they can pose as Rohirrim

Revell Napoleonic Prussian Infantry
Now I think I have all the Prussians I want
