Was in to my little hobbycorner Saturday to buy some paint (GW Boltgun Metal and Mithril Silver and a brush). They had a lot of boxes of Airfix figs (just the new rereleases) and bought the Romans and Robin Hood. New young guy behind the desk and when he saw the Robin Hood-box he sounded almost like Prince John, but happy "Robin Hood, never seen it before! Is it new? Have we had it before?" I said, yes, they had it before, but I didn't tell him it is 35-40 years ago they had it. :-D

600 random figures from an internet auction turned up at my house this morning. I've just started going through them. A mixture of Matchbox, Esci and Airfix, mostly WW2 stuff but with a few modern US, UK and Russian's thrown in.

Got my hands on IMEX's Korean War ROK troops and some styrene. Lets just say that the styrene is going towards my Fast Roping Diorama and the ROK troops (converted to ARVN) are going to another helicopter diorama...

48 Esci Warsaw Pact figures still on the sprue. Yay! And 48 Airfix Modern NATO figures still on the sprue. Booo. Still they were a package deal so I got the good with the bad.

And these Airfix figures are rare figures Chris (from 1982). So I think you wil find a solution for them, don't you?

Hmmm, melt them down maybe for Guy Fawkes night. Not much else you can do with them. They're scaled wrong for everything else modern out there. And the poses are rubbish too.

Carthagenian infantry (zvezda) Didn´t particually want them, but as I had to work today and the good wife ( ) was going into town I asked her (and I actually wrote it down :? ) to get if by some miracle they were there, the Cataphracts and if not then some persian infantry. Still better than nothing I suppose :eh:
Oh yeh, funnily they were cheaper than from online shops

Even on holiday, I can't let it go! I've some boxes I found:

Revell:
2580 Prussian Infantry
2586 French Hussars
2587 French Dragoons
The two last ones are Italeri reissues!

Italeri:
6010 Saracen warriors
6019 Teutonic Knights (some horses are damaged, scarves in it, production error?)
6020 Mongols
6029 Celtic Cavalry (same problem as set 6019, both made in 2007)
6066 French Infantry
6125 Templar knights
6126 Arab Warriors

If someone else had the same problem with those Italeri sets, can he let me know?

Greetings Peter

After today's visit to the chiropractor I thought I could need a little reward (I'm so stiff I could hardly feel him and he's good) so I went to the toyshop and bought paint (Tamaiya FX50 (thanks Peter and Martin  ), my old Humbrol 5077 is empty) and one brush 0/5 (first time) and one more 0/3. No figures though, right now they only have Airfix. Saw on the box to the Waterloo Playset that it's got Prussian Artillery! But the figures with the text was of course the old Airfix Prussian Infantry.
