Since I'm somewhat familiar with tanks. Here are a few tips.
Place the chain in hot water, pull a few links in front of your chest until the chain bars become thinner, then stop pulling immediately and take the next links. In front of the chest, because you can clearly see what is happening without pulling jerkily. It's a matter of feeling.
Or hang the chain, hang a small weight on it, heat it with a hairdryer. it's harder to control.

I will try, when building the next model from Dragon, With other brands I don`t have this problem.
