Work in Progress

crusader

Posted by atalante on 13 Jan 2024, 20:24

A new project for 2024!
After vignettes of all kinds, I started on a small diorama on the Crusades.
On the program a Saracen cavalry charge on a Christian shield wall.
Here are the first figs.

Very nice figures, maybe your best so far. I'm curious to see the final scene.

Love the painting, the shading, especially the quilted armour. The faded whites look nice.

The figures are really superb. Painting and poses. Are they from SPEIRA?

Methinks the finished diorama is going to be brilliant! The crusaders are particularly nice and the army painter washes you are using are extremely effective. Saying that I don’t think they work quite so well on the horses. Can’t wait to see more……..

Splendid work on these figures.

They really do convey a sense of movement.

Best wishes,

Nicely painted figures and a great theme. Are they representing first or third Crusade?
