My Prussians, my prussssianssss

Posted by Susofrick on 31 Aug 2021, 10:21

Finished my first Prussians in this scale. Only painted Prince August's before and they are, well, bigger. :-D I have Hat (combined box), Revell, Waterloo1815 and Strelets. And some other Hats that can fill out the ranks later. Will probably be about 60 figures when I've finished.

That's it for now.

These look very good and mix in well with each other. What's the plan for the 60 figures?

Hahaha, my Prussiaaaaannns protect the Prussiiaannnnsss.

Lovely figures! The grey and blue are a nice combination. I do think of starting Napoleonics but I definitely don't have the time to start a whole new era.

A nice start.

You have done well to combine the manufacturers as the Revell are irritatingly smaller than the Hat.

A first impression does not show this . Well done.

Best wishes,

Chris

Thanks for the comments! The plan is to have a Prussian regiment march into town where some cavalry and Landwehr aleady are. I realize that I will never finish that, but I will have fun painting. :-D I hope to do some of the cavalry too, but that is very very far in the future.

The mix of figures from various manufacturers looks good, Susofrick. Go on with these Prussians to complete the unit.

Reading this I know we are brothers in minds. I have my Prussian project, but I am not ready to accept that I will not finish it either. ;-)

Finished some more figures for my little scene. Have some of Strelets' marching guys left to paint and after that we'll see what unit I'll paint next. But now it is back to The Cursed Land and paint more recruits for Papa Orc!

The first painted:

The recently painted:

And all together:

The drummer have a tendency to fall forward so maybe I'll change him for Revell or Hat. Probably too much of the schnaps!

Almost finished my marching column. Can add some NCO:s from Hat and Revell, but that can come later. Figs are mostly Strelets set of marching Prussian line infantry, but there are some Hat, Revell and Waterloo1815 there too. And one Streltsi that was in the box. Took really too much time to finish them, but now it's done. Now I start with the hussars. Also from Strelets.
