With the leftovers of my Thracian project and some extras i’m building an alexandrian macedionian army for DBA + some extra units to morth it in to most of the successor armys



Mounted units including the great man himself



Elephant and uncle arty



Hypaspists and slingers



Hoplites and phalangites

There's a lot going for DBA - the opportunity to raise many armies with comparative ease, is one.
BTW, have you considered BBDBA? You could raise bigger DBA armies (X3) or even easier, use 3 existing DBA armies as allies (eg Macedonian-Pyrrhic, Italian-Greek & samnite)?

The history nuts among us might also spot Antigonid the one eyed in the frint rank of the pikes (he is the general for one of the successor armys)

As for double dba or bbdba. Im using up the figures i have in my collection currently, promised myself not to buy any new before fet something done.

First priority now is finish building our new house, so i’ll have the space for a 120m by 120m gaming table for DBA DBN , black seas and a song of drums and shakos and whatever else i decide to play in de future.
