Crossfire WWII Market Garden

For the last few months four of us retired type people have been meeting at one of the last Hobby Shops still left standing in the Chicago metro area. Yesterday I threw together a little encounter battle just so we could reemember the rules. It had been over a year since we last played. We have a local wargame convention coming up at the end of April that I may run a Crossfire game at. I did not take enough pictures for a full battle report but here are a few that I did manage to take.

Crossfire is a very unique game as it use no measurements, you can shoot the entire table unless your Line Of Sight is blocked. You move from terrain piece to terrain piece and are only stopped if your opponent is able pin you with reactive fire. So there are not set turns you keep going as long as you are successful. If you fire and miss your turn is over. It is a very challenging game and a lot of fun.

Crossfire Reloaded?
I'm interested in these rules & have just ordered the rule book & advanced rule book.

Crossfire is a unique and very chagenlling game. Last time I played was time ago.

I am here to help as best I can Donald. The rules themselves are very straight forward and easy but there are soooo many command decisions the game is a challenge which Javier points out. A PDF is also available from them. The rules have not been Reloaded that is Rapid Fire a different rules set. Which I have played and do not like, But thats just me.

Very nice and an interesting use of spent cases.

I see the left handed Fallschrimjager are out in force !

It’s a shame that Itallieri did this as I think that they are a good set.

Thanks Chris for the kind comments. I figured using spent 9mm casings would serve as a useful visual identifier. I like the ESCI set even with all of the lefty shooters with one exception the MG gunners standing at ease. Not sure why they did that.
