Let’s make a big bang!

Portuguese artillery at the time of WW2.
During the war Portugal received some german equipment in payment for Tungsten core. Included in this lot were 105mm FH18 guns that were used till the seventies (even going to the former Colonies for the Colonial War that lasted from 1961 till 1974).
Using the excellent Revell German artillery, with some knife work and a good painting we can do the Portuguese artillery, with their light grey uniforms (used from 1940 until the early sixties). A better portray of the reality would be to use mules instead of horses (my uncle that served as an artillery officer in the 40’s remembered well the bad temper of the mules).
The bases are hard cardboard and these are prepared for wargame. I ‘have already used them for some battles.

Very interesting data, and very nice model too :) . So they still moved the cannons with horses in the Colonial Wars? that is really of piece of history I knew nothing about.
