Franznap French Lancers

Posted by Rosbif on 01 May 2015, 07:12

Hi all,

First time posting here this year! It's been very slow hobbby-wise in the Rosbif household

I have finally put paint to brush on these wonderful figures and based them ready for action on the wargames table tonight! I have been very slow to finish these because they were some of Francesco's first commercial productions before he started casting in metal. I was scared to clean up the flash because the resin seemed so delicate and brittle. I wasn't wrong! I broke the officer's sword, the bugler's trumpet and a scabbard on one of the troopers. After some running repair's I've painted them up as the 5e Chevau-Leger Lanciers

I'm happy to report that they survived their table-top baptism without being destroyed (literally or figuratively! ), and actually carried out the game winning charge late in the game!
