1/72 Extratech-SS Soldier KIA 1944 (IMG&Link Review)

Posted by Panzer_Grenadire on 06 Aug 2015, 13:37

With its “SS soldier – KIA 1944”, Extratech succeeds in a remarkable manner to transpose in 1/72 scale a tragic scene as appearing in a well-known reference image, providing not only the figure but also the related base. Casualties set out as one of the hardest topic to find, so despite the fact the kit accommodates just a single figure, interested hobbyists should consider it.

Morbid subject handled delicately and with great attention to detail. Amazing brushwork on the collar insignia and cuff/arm emblems. Camouflage pattern is replicated perfectly.

Indeed, it is a not so common subject in 1/72 scale although too often repeated during WWII. I strived to depict the details appearing in the original image and I am more than happy you noticed and liked those, thanks a lot Bill...:)
