ESCI & Italeri Napoleonic British

Posted by The General on 02 Aug 2015, 17:58

Hello!

So, I have been rather busy these past few days, as I have tried to finish off some of my Nappy projects. These were completed and duly photographed, for your viewing pleasure!

I am still trying to figure out how the plumes go with flank or center companies - and evidently, pretty much EVERY British line infantry model made by either ESCI or Italeri, are from the flank companies. Only the 28th Regiment of Foot are center companies...guess I will have to start to look at metal miniatures, if I am to bulk out the companies with actual center companies, rather than solely flank...

First up, the redoubtable 28th (North Gloucestershire) Regiment of Foot:

Secondly, there are the rather less-well known 69th (South Lincolnshire) Regiment of Foot:

Those I mostly did because I wanted to have a regiment with green facings, who were at Waterloo in 1815 :-)

Thirdly, I did a base of the famous 92nd (Gordon Highlanders) Regiment of Foot - I loved doing the kilts, and realised, that the first base of Highlanders I did (back in 2013) have been supplied with a wrong tartan pattern. Oh, the shame :-)

And finally, I managed to finish two bases of the ancient ESCI British Royal Horse Artillery, which were probably the first set of Napoleonics that I ever received. They have seriously taken decades to finish...

And here is an overview of the collected armed British forces:

I hope that you enjoy them!

Best regards,

Always a pleasure to see some more Nappies.... especially when they're nicely painted such as yours.
Great job, well done.

Great painting here, especially the Scots. If you're not too critical of old sets, the Airfix line are all molded as centre companies.

Cheers,
Kurt
