One man's trash is another man's treasure. Cool figures. Did you paint them, or were they already painted?

People find everything I want among trash, vinylrecords, books, and now nice figures! :( I think you painted these! Or if they were painted you repainted them. I don't think you can avoid painting them. :-D

Hello Thomas,

long time ago, since we saw you here. Welcome back with some new work. Can you give us an update about your Worringen-Project?

Well it is clear you painted these yourself, Willers. Very nice, you make me (and us) happy and curious.

But now you have to explain us more about it. Me too, I have every plastic Persian figure thinkable but not these, though I recognize the Zvezda horse and rider sculpting style. Well you have some relations to producers, that all of us don't have. So that must be why some people gave you permission to open that trashcan. Just like mr. Harris must have given you the dustbin with the Spartan army in it. But please correct me if I am wrong.

And let us know if there is anything left in those trashcans. And if so for what amount of money can it be ours?

I did not even know you had a personal account here at Benno's Forum. Did I understand it right you have been absent here for over 3 years?

Well this Lycian horseman (first two pics. the left one) is really interesting, it has the same features like the reconstruction of Richard Scollins - I remember Thomas mentioned about this figure when we were talking about my current sculpting project. I never had the idea to convert with a mix of Zvezdas Persian with the Macedonian cavalry - indeed very original!

Greetings

I have seen similar poses in an Osprey´s book. I think they are conversions according to that book.

Wonderfull painted figures!

I can imagen two things:

1. You were a test painter for Italeri and Zvezda and had these figures from them but they never produced them.

2. You did some very good conversions with some spare figures lying around in the trash can!

:-D
