Roman woman - for MABO

Posted by PhilC on 18 Feb 2017, 16:16

Hi! This time, I painted to paint something different, a non military subject. After seeing MABO's impressive 1/32 Atlantic figures (look at this picture: http://s959.photobucket.com/user/MABO_photos/media/Nostalgia%206_zpsakko39k5.jpg.html), I wanted to paint a Roman woman, but in 1/72. The result is not as good as I wanted (and not as good as the wonderful minis MABO has painted), but it is a welcome addition to my ancient minis collection.

Maybe some of you will recognize the goat that can travel through time

Looks good PhilC! The bright blue robe is quite fetching. Love that scenery, too.

Painting quality is excellent. Title (Roman woman) reminds me of Life of Brian :xd:

Your words are very kind. And feel very honored that you mentioned my name in the topic.

I like your brushwork very much. Nice woman and the idea with the goat is funny.

I like the way you paint. In my eyes you give the figurine a pronounced structure which also creates an impression of deepness during looking from far. Nice!

Thank you all for your nice comments.

@ MABO: I am really happy that you like this mini. By the way, before I saw your own figures, I didn't know that Atlantic had produced 1/32 scale minis.. and I must say that I am tempted to find some :-)

Time and time again I have seen them on ebay, but I think the price is high sometimes...

Really like this! And there is nothing wrong with a magic goat! And you can even say she's marching! :-D Well, at least moving forwards! :-D
