Skeleton Horn Blower

Yes I know, it might be difficult to blow a horn or anything else without lungs... as it's probably difficult to walk or handle a sword without muscle, or to admire a necromancer without a heart

Anyway, Let me show you my Skeleton Horn Blower, a Caesar mini with a cornu from Hät set 8051 "Roman Command", not even a conversion. What interested me this time was to paint rust on iron parts and verdigris on the brass.

Very nice indeed. And good to see because I've been thinking I should get this set myself before it sells out completely.

I think skeletons must be difficult to paint and get looking right but these are very nicely done. They really look like bones that have been in the ground for a while. The patina on the metal is a very clever idea for the subject.

By the way, if long dead men can rise from the grave and take up arms against the living, I don't think blowing a horn or shooting a stringless bow will be much more than a minor inconvenience to them. And cat gut bowstrings decay just the same as human tissue.
