Very nice painting Tom. These figures may not have looked too good straight out of the box but you've turned them into something special.

I read the PSR review on these two sets. It seems they relate to some bizaar Neo-Nazi fantasy and that the figure third from the right in the top row might be Hitler. Actually I think the figure at the far right looks a bit Hitlerish to me, I wondered if the third from the right might be Goebells?

But ignoring the negative connotations, this set looks like a very good source of some high ranking WWII German officers and HQ support staff. Very useful to the WWII buffs I would think.

Thanks @Graeme

Here in Germany tinks a few people, that these "Nazi-Project" are reality and that after the war on the antartica a nazi-colony (under the ice) were exist. Under the word "Neuschwabenland" you can find the theories. Completly crazy - like other theories... I hate nazies, but the collectorfriend asked me for to paint them. But I will not these miniatures in my showcase.

@Tom71 - I too have reviewed this set on PSR, and just by looks alone would, and in some instances should turn people away from this set. Your attention to detail and prep is just another reason why looks may be deceiving. You really did a great job on this set. Are the figures perfect...............no, but once cleaned, prepped and painted you have a set that is pleasing to the eye and my assumption is that the owner is most likely thrilled with the end product.

The Allied supreme command was very sceptical about Neuschwabenland.

Because the Alpenfestung was not that strong point as told.

After the landing they followed the German footsteps to reach Neuschwabenland.
