Hi friends, I've just finished Tournament set. Lot of work on details, but I'm satisfied with final result, these figures are really well cast and they are easy to paint :-D

WOW!

You've really captured the spectacle of a Medieval joust. Bright, colourful and lively.

If the figures are easy to paint, well OK, but when they're painted this well a lot of credit should go to the artist. The Ladies in their fine dresses are just beautiful and I really like that guys suede leggings.

I've just noticed the quintain in the middle, that's very nicely done.

Arbogastiz--

Thanks so much for showing us your splendid work on these medieval tournament figures. My favorite guy is the prince with the five o'clock shadow and the purple robes, but everything shows that you put in the time with these figures. I love your use of bold colours.

The Prince's eyes turned out pretty well, and I think that is because his pupils are the proper size, or nearly. Italeri sculpt huge, rugby ball-shaped eyes, so it is difficult to get them to look human. On some of the figures, the pupils are much too small and they look more like cat eyes or serpent eyes to me.

Apart from that one minor quibble, I would give these figures high marks all around.

I tried to depicture great, colorful medieval feast and spirit of fair chivalric jousts - knights fighting in their best finery, lot of overdressed noble men and well born ladies showing their wealthness (expensive dyed clothes) and cheering on their favorites

I wish I had some townsmen and even peasants watching the tournament...

Bluefalchion - I'm happy you appreciate my work, and I fullly agree with you in matter of painting eyes, those Italeri figures' eyes are hard to paint, but I'm satisfied with final result :-D

Hmm, serpent eyes, oh wait... maybe they're some Reptilians in disguise :mrgreen:

Hi Bill,
Bluefalchion is right, these figures are taken and painted right from the box, no additional fabrics sculpted from green stuff or something like that.

Wonderful medieval pageantry. Love the vibrant color palette you used. Jubilant music, thunderous galloping of hooves, and the roar of the spectators are experienced when viewing this.
