WW2 - LVT-(A)1 in „Japanese Kiss" - USA

Posted by Hellboy on 06 Apr 2019, 20:06

New diorama pictures …

„Japanese Kiss“

The diorama tells the story of the battle "Saipan" in June 1944. A wave of attack by the US Army was repulsed by the Japanese. The beach section has to be abandoned by the US Army.

The retreat across the open sea is catastrophic. A 'LVT (A) 1' has received several hits in the engine compartment while still on the beach. The vehicle engine fails completely. The team can escape unhurt. Because of the engine failure, however, the tank must be left lying on the beach.

After the fight, Japanese soldiers examine the wreck and the effect of their own weapons.

Have fun. :-D

Very nicely done. I like to read the story of what is going on in addition to the pictures.

Hi!
Back after al long time !

Dust, oil, scratches, impacts on the LVT.
Goods and stuff all around.
The dog is nice.

And the well-behaved team of the LVT closes all doors after leaving her vehicle. :-D

A typical nice Hellboy Dio.
:yeah:

Yes, it was a long time! A lot happened too. But that's life. Everything changes constantly at any time .... except for our hobby. And that's good!!!!! :yeah:

Lovely.
The blue...is that where the sand has worn the paint off down to the undercoat?

Thanks for your comment! I am pleased!! :-D

To your question. The color of the LVT was really blue at the 708th Tank Battalion in Saipan. Very noticeable on land, but an advantage in the water. :yeah:
