Naughty Witch

Posted by Dad's Army on 02 Jul 2019, 21:40

Hi Guys,

This year I did paint the fantastic FIGZ figure 2019 sculped by Alex.
A great masterpiece it is, and so much fun to pain.
It only did cost me hours and hours research on the internet,
for getting enough info about her uniform...
But I did finish her at the end, thanks again Alex!

Wow that is one of your best paint jobs. That shading is really tremendous.

And I would say all of your research on the internet on the uniform paid big dividends. Well done.

Lovely paintjob on a lovely figure.Very natural skin tones and shading and a little bit of a blush on her cheeks  Splendid work from both You and Alex.

I agree, there won't be any complaints from the button counters. :xd:

Lovely, and with excellent detail! Very lifelike; someone with good knowledge of the Harry Potter universe (i.e. not me) could probably even identify the exact type of broom that she is holding.

Super job, Remco! I did not know that you are such a button-counter dealing with historical correct uniforms. Once you told me you did like the Napoleonic period. After that entry I am waiting for some dashing french hussars. :-D :yeah:

Really nice job, veeeeeeeeeeery inspiring. That's a kind of uniform that is very difficult to render. The choice of the right color is not easy task, let alone the color to use for buttons. Also the shading is mission (almost) impossible, let alone the shaving. Do you have a bibliography of websites, publications and magazines you consulted to share?

Great work, Dad's Army. I love specially the wide variety of colours used.

That apart, very suitable clothing for the high temperatures that we are suffering in Europe at the beginning of this summer. :sweatdrop:

My best regards. :-D

Hi Remco,

your little witch is great, but not really naughty.
What strikes me most is the smooth even colour you've applied. My impression is there is very little shading. However, due to clever picturing making use of natural shade and Alex' gorgeous sculpting all the fine body details develop and spring to life. This is a fantastic achievement!

Concerning the naughty bit I consider that if naked sculpts of 20 mm lovely painted turn us on or even fear that it might we are…. well we might just have a lot of imagination :-D
Yes, this is what makes this forum great: many people with lots of imagination!

Cheers Michael

Uhm, but why do you speak about buttons all the time? I do not see any buttons? :eh:
Maybe they are at the front?

Or is this the fairy tale of the emperors new clothes?

Exactly!
That's why I said there won't be any complaints from the button counters. ;-). She does have one button at the front though, a belly button.

For those of us who have Napoleonic figures, "button counters" are people who get obsessed about very small details of uniforms like the number of buttons a figure should have on it's cuffs. I think we have to admit that all of us are button counters at least some of the time. For you guys that do WWII vehicles the equivalent is "rivet counters"
