French and Indian War

I thought I'd have another go at the very lovely Italeri Native American's as I feel my painting has progressed enough that my old attempts maybe don't do this set much justice. Still got a long way to go with my painting technique, but I look back at attempts three years ago and further attempts one year ago and feel pleased with my progress-for which I must credit all the very generous members on this forum who have given me advice, constructive feedback and most importantly encouragement!

Top photos represent Native Americans fighting with the French in the French and Indian war. The last two photos are of the efforts from one and three years ago.

Great looking Hurons and Shawnee. I especially love the variation in war paint schemes. They were very individualistic and you portray this aspect well.

What I really like are the comparison pictures! The figures on the right, the shiny ones look like they are made from lead, like in the old days!

Thanks all for your kind words. The comparison photos are actually not showing this latest batch-they are comparing my first efforts (3 ish years ago) to my second efforts (maybe 18 months ago?). With hindsight I should have re-done the photos with all three in the photo to show a better representation of my continued attempts to get closer to the incredible standards displayed by others on this forum!

Here are some British infantry. Painted them as the 35th who were involved at the 'massacre' of Fort William Henry. Conflicting evidence on the colour of their gaiters as many sources say they wore white gaiters at all times, whilst I've also read that when on campaign they ditched the white for more practical black/browns.
