Beautifully painted and actively posed. Not even Napoleonic units had the dazzling variety of color on Japanese warriors. Another beauty of them is that depending on how much time one wants to invest there is a bewildering variety of pattern prints you can add. Japanese art is unique and colorful creating artistic avenues one could really lose themselves in.

Those are beautiful. And I very much like your style - very painterly.

I have tremendous respect for those of you who decide to tackle Samurai. For me, who spends so much time procrastinating, it's bad enough when I'm painting a French Old Guard grenadier who i know exactly what colours are needed for every single item of clothing. To paint a samurai it's gonna take me at least 20 hours to decide on his armour colour, never mind the colour of his silk kimono that appears in only a tiny area.
Therefore, when i see a quantity of them painted up as well as this all i can say is congratulations Roland.....you have all my respect. And to Massimo who went about sculpting them my admiration is, if anything, even greater. Well done gentlemen....i take my hat off to you both.
