Thank you @ all!

Yesterday I was able to take the first pictures for my photo book from the finished diorama.
Here is a first selection, with cotton and cigar smoke!

Smoking cigars is bad for your health!

Very nice effects but the disco smoker will keep your doctor happy.

Super work as always .

Best wishes,

Chris

Thank you Wolfgang for sharing your work with us. I stand in utter amazement at your talents. That diorama exceeds anything I could even imagine. Superb!
The completion of such a monumental task is certainly worth a few puffs on a good cigar!

Thank you!

It was a damn close call, as Wellington used to say!

Tuesday afternoon I was finally able to transport the Rorke's Drift diorama from my workroom in my son's basement to the outside. The diorama should not have been a few centimeters larger for the basement stairs, it was truly a feat of strength. There was some damage to the diorama bezel, I'll have to apply a new coat of paint later.

Since I had placed some figures very close to the edge of the diorama, they inevitably had to break off.
In the basement stairs I later found 12 figures, about 20 shields and about 30 spears. I will be able to repair some figures again, the rest, shields and spears are no problem either. In the transporter, the diorama was well padded with several mattresses and could thus be transported to our museum in Heiligenstadt without an accident.

In the museum, the passageways are oversized, so no more problems. The Rorke`s Drift diorama has found its place next to the Sudan diorama, so same era.
