La Haye Farm

I previously set out my research on La Haye Farm and can now present the model in place on the diorama. The farm was built by my father and I have built the scenery on an extended section in order to allow it all on one continuous piece. I am quite pleased with the results. The photographs of the model are interspersed with pictures of the farm today.

Your father is really getting into the swing of building farms.

This looks lovely.

May I suggest that you are careful with the sedums?

The first two look like they are supported by the errant straight branches.

I break these off to get a more dendritic look.

Sea grass poked into a hollow sedum branch and then sprayed can give realistic results .

This looks great! And it is so realistic, one has to look twice to decide which pictures show the diorama and which the original site.
