Revell 2566 Imperial Artillery 30YW

Posted by Peter on 25 Mar 2021, 16:28

Just to show that I am still painting figures some officers of the Revell 2566 Imerial Atillery 30YW. I must confess that I didn't know that this were officers and that their pikes are to fire their guns. This information I got from our friend Steve in this topic: Thirthy Years War Project.

Does this count as a mistake?

A little bit more blabla and a few more pictures on my blog: Peter's Cave ;-)

Nicely done Peter. You've made a nice job of them.

With regard to the comments about linstock and partisans, all it would take is to trim the 'arms' - artillerists probably have a name for these, but they are strange people who speak loudly and smell of burned powder, a lot. But if you trim those arms off they'd look like the partisan that a normal soldier would carry.

These are the people that I got my partisan off - http://www.thetwojs.uk/Polearms.htm - their partisan head is very similar to the tip of the Revell linstocks.

Thank you for the nice comments Steve, Dalibor, Bill, Gunnar and Chris!

@Steve: I might do what you are suggesting. Then it wouldn't be a mistake anymore. Six time cutting some silver paint and I have soldiers with "partisans"! Thank you! ;-)

Your painting style is real cool Peter. Classic figures a little bit tall, but i like them all.
:coffee: Out of pure greedy nostalgia,i bought lots of the plastic Revell sprues loose on E Bay many years ago, well at least 11 years ago. BB

Thanks Jan and Rich!

I have bought these all second hand. Now I have two or three compleet sets and a lot of unbased figures of them. And one damaged box. I'm thinking to sell one of the sets ut I have to surch them out; ;-)
