You have done a very fine job in painting this unit of Bavarian cuirassiers Rich. The excellent quality of the sculpting of the cuirassiers themselves, with nicely-defined armour, helmets and weaponry, has lent itself well to your painting technique. As with other cavalry units, you have managed to paint the design on the unit flag very well, and the trumpeter and officer are outstanding. Very fine work indeed!

After a long break from WSS (I got distracted by my AZW and LOTR neglected projects) I am back with some updates. I've got a few to posts but I'll spread them out over the next few weeks.

First up, Strelets Dutch Cuirassiers have been painted as Danish Sjaellandske Cuirassiers who were part of Marlborough/Eugene's forces at Blenheim. The set did have a lot of flash and the plastic was very difficult to clean up, but hopefully the paint covers up some of these blemishes!

Hope you enjoy!

Although all your other projects (AZW, LOTR) are very interesting and carried out fantastically, Rich, I humbly believe that WSS units are your speciality, as these spectacular Danish Cuirassiers demonstrate.

Great work!

It’s a fascinating period which I would have loved to explore further.

Thanks for your kind feedback!

Next up, Rowe's (21st). I've seen some accounts of them wearing fusiliers caps (shorter mitre caps), but I have just gone for tricornes and grenadier caps.

Looks great! I am a bit tempted to try some of these and paint them for the GNW, but I have too much going on right now so maybe some time around the year 2567 I will be able to start with them.

I finally got round to basing the Vasse dragoons I painted in 2021...These chaps were part of the defence of the village of Blenheim.

I have several units painted up and waiting to be based. so hopefully I'll be able to put up a few more posts soon. I've noticed that the WSS theme has stopped on this forum since neither Mark (Minuteman) or Will have posted in a very long time. Hopefully someone else will start on this period as there are such amazing figures available now via Strelets. As always, thanks for looking and comments (positive or negative) are always welcomed!

As always, another fantastic unit for your WSS armies, Rich.

I fully agree with Javier's observation. In the close ups, the great detail and precision of your painting in the figures is much better appreciated.
