Sorry, but I corrected in photobucket the wrong campaign-year of my album which caused the disappearance of all the photos in my former posts to this subjet. I didn´t know the consequences, so again the photos now both french dioramas together. You can find the austrians in the former post below.
Besides I have posting yesterday some new photos of my Flandres Project too.
I have made the dioramas one year ago, that´s the reason that I mentioned a wrong year in my first two titles. The french campaign happened 1796-97 and not 1798. In 1798 the austrian army introduced the roman helmet for their infantry.
I have used besides many Hät-french infantry in this diorama also some boxes of Strelets Egyptian Campaign, especially the british light infantry box which wore the nearly same helmet like the french revolution light infantry. And there are also some Revell IAW-miniatures integrated with mostly other hats. And I have alternate many soldiers in their physical action to create more variety.
In reason of the bad physical condition of the french army during this campaign I have cut many of the french trousers and eliminate some shoes of the soldiers. Exceptionally the soft plastic of some hät- and strelets-miniatures were an avantage in this case.
Hope, the photos will stay here and you will like them.
