Sea People (my first post)

Posted by PhilC on 11 May 2015, 19:07

Hi everyone ! This is my first post on this forum and of course I must introduce myself.

My name is PhilC, I live in Lyon (France) and among several hobbies, I like painting minis, mostly 1/72, mostly ancients and medieval, but also Napoleonics and even Wellingtonians (yes I've been following this forum for years). Oh, and Fantasy minis too.

I am very impressed of the quality of this forum and I very happy to submit my first contribution. I will begin with a few photos of Sea People figures - mostly Caesar and one Hät.

I hope you like them.

PhilC.

A nice bunch of warriors do you have here - colorful and fierce looking, I wouldn't like to get invaded by them ...

Salut, PhilC.

Beautiful group you got there. The skins look absolutely natural, something that I tend to have problems with... :) Please show us more of your work!

Bienvenu!

Francisco

Thank you very much for your comments and welcome messages :-)

I used Revell Enamel Gold (the only enamel color I still use, I try to stop White Spirit you see  ) with some brown ink (GW Devlan Mud, aka Agrax Earthshade) and gold highlights.

I must admit that it took me years before being happy with the skin tones - would you be interested with more details about that matter ?

I am really happy to be a member of this forum !
