Italian country house

Posted by Phersu on 17 May 2015, 13:31

My latest work just finished!
A peaceful scenery representing an Italian country house with stone walls... to put my new 4 cats I recently made, some of my dogs, birds, and a portrait of my granny.

It is also an useful further exercise before to start my project for the production of buildings.
If the casting of buildings will work I will made some other country houses bigger and more complete to be produced, which will be more suitable for war scenaries. ;-)

The house and the roof are all scuplted in blocks of expanded foam, except the shutters which are resin copies of bits of wood which I sculpted separately.

Following i added the mini-diorama base... terrain and plants are made with various different materials.
And finally the cats, dogs and bird... which are from my other previous sets.

The granny figure is a conversion of another female farmer figure which i recently made for a friend.
The face came out quite resembling my granny indeed, despite she was a bit thinner!

Some details of the interiors... which came out so and so as I didn't put a big efforth to make them, after all it must be just a background behind the granny and the sitting cat, barely visible through the window now that the house is assembled and the roof is closed.

The 4 new cats I made...

Excellent! But shouldn't there be a pie in the window? Or did someone eat it?

That's what she is asking the cat Gunnar! And you know what? The cat is telling her that you took it for your birthday! And I have seen proof on FB!
