Apache Pass

Posted by Old Wolf on 22 Jun 2015, 20:44

Here s a quicky i did a few days before FIGZ.
I used "Apache Warriors" by Waterloo 1815 and Horses from different manufacturers.
The horses from the Apache Set are to bad. (IMO the Sioux set is much better).
The rock and the ground are from shale.
instaed of instant water i used just glue for the creek

If this is your idea of a "quickie", I'd like to see something you spent a long time working on. Beautiful and idyllic scene.

Old Wolf, this is one of those Big Problem Sets, because of the horses you yourself mentioned as bad, and I fully agree with you,but it`s still Great to See Your Work Displayed again on the Forum, and the different horses you`ve used to overcome part of that problem. On the shelf my own box of Apaches sit along side the US Cavalry also produced by Waterloo1815,and I have long thought to use the troopers horses for the Apache braves. However I can`t remember what they look like. What to do,P S R or just open up the box before I tuck in for the night? BB

Can't help thinking that a quick 5 minutes work with a scalpel removing flash and mould lines (no scalps mind you), might have improved the work considerably!
Nice idea though!
