Some of my figures in action

Posted by Rosbif on 26 Jun 2015, 03:12

Here's some shots of some of my Napoleonic French figures in action on the tabletop. I suppose I could have posted this in the wargaming section, but this is just a few shots of figures rather than a battle report.

Most of my line infantry are HaT 8095 figures, some with head modifications, but I have a brigade of Schilling infantry as well. My light infantry and foot artillery are Zvezda, and my cavalry are mainly Italeri, with the Franznap lancers the exception.

Those are really cool. How do you package up your units for travel to gaming site?

Thanks for posting these pics. I just happen to have that box on the way as a Father's Day gift. A little disappointed that there is no flag bearer in the set and Hat's French command kit is still in the sculpting phase. I may wait to paint this kit until the command figures are available. I plan on basing them on three 60mmX60mm bases, 9 to a base (3 figX3fig), for 18 figures per battalion. I also have Hat's British Peninsular Infantry along with the command kit on the way as well and will probably paint them first.

Awesome set-up. Those lancers waiting for action are great.

Thanks all! :-D

@Bluefalchion - The bottom layer of the figures' bases are fridge magnets. I transport everything in a metal toolbox. The plastic figures stick magnetically to the toolbox quite well. The metal figures don't travel quite so well; the magnets aren't quite strong enough.

Great nappies. I like the earthy natural looking style with these figures, a neat balance of campaign grime and colour.

And those lancers really look the business.

Great tip on the magnetic bases. I guess for the metal guys you could pack them in foam or something. Thanks for sharing your pics and pro tip.
