Beautifully painted figures - well done.

I just picked up this set a few months ago myself, it is one of Zvezda's best imho.

Woooow ! These Russian Hussar figures of Zvezda are truly extraordinary. Your painting does them full justice. Am not sure 1/72 painting can get much better than this.
Horses are also beautiful but would love to see how you handle a chestnut and even a grey!
More more more pleeeeeeaaaaseeee!

I hate Nappies Peter. In a fact ww2 is my period but I don't have any time to spare for ww2 because those damn Nappies keep on coming and coming and wish to be painted  :-D :-D :-D

Utterly wonderful!

I've got a box of these to include in my nappy cavalry project. I'll be delighted if they look half as good as these.

What paint do you use and are they varnished? The colours are great.

Thanks Marvin... a compliment from painter like you is much appreciated (not that I don't appreciate other comments). You're too kind.

I use only Vallejo acrylics. I rarely use Revell acrylics but that is only exception. I don't varnish my figures. I use self made wash that contains Vallejo Matte Medium. It creates somewhat dull appearance (but not completely) and acts as protective coat - not as good as final matte varnish.

In future I plan to try some matte varnishes from a spray can. I would like to have one from Army Painter but it is a bit expensive for my pocket and hard to get here in Croatia.

Splendid painting result Dalibor.
I hardly dare to type this.
Opinion & Advice based upon my own use, of Army Painter Stuff, save your money buddy, (I wasted mine.) ,and continue mixing your own Washes, and applying your own varnish by brush. You have a Cool Painting System that works for you ,and that finishes off your work that costs Penny`s , so why spend Pounds?

I use Humbrol,Gloss and Humbrol Matt Cote varnish applied by brush. Looking on the bright side it `s cheap and works for me. Well it projects my mediocre efforts at painting anyway. With best intentions, repectfully.BB

What some people on this site can do with small bits of plastic is an inspiration. Well done

Don't change a thing that you're doing - your work is exquisite and an inspiration both in style and presentation.

BTW beware spray varnish - sometimes it can go cloudy and all of your hard work is ruined. I learned this the hard way.
