I like this style of painting Kurt. I also like how you painted over the high boots on this older Set by Hat.
They all look like an active part of a charge, and the swords are the right size too. Long and wicked! Love It! BB

Great job on the saddle cloths as well as putting a bit of shine on the helmets.

What did you do to make them wear the later dragoon helmet?

The use of a very sharp knife would be my guess donald.
Kurt, the helmet is another good point of interest concerning this conversion of this Hat Set of figures, and one that I missed seeing. So thanks donald for noticing this detail. BB

Hey Donald--

Paul has got it right, the combs were converted with a knife and the boots painted over. These are a good starting place for conversions to Russian Horse Artillery as well.

Gosh! Pretty Darn Good to see these conversions too that have taken shape. Yes indeed,I`m well impressed Kurt with the Russian Horse Artillery gun crew. Getting ready to give the French an iron and black powder Pasting!
Thinking upon it,over the past few days Napoleonics has certainly been on the Rise Again on the Forum.

A command stand for these would be nice. Officer & ensign would be easy enough.

Trumpeter? I have some spare arms holding a trumpet from the Prussian HaT Napoleonic cavalry that might do.
The wings on the shoulders....hmmm....any ideas?

The officer is an easy painting conversion, just hard to see. Please pardon this God-awful iPhone close-up photo. This gent has the orange sash, silver piping, and epaulets. I really like the idea of using the trumpet arm from one of the HaT spares, and I gather the carbine arm could be used for the ensign. Did Russian dragoons carry flags?

Hi Vellek,
Thank you for the answer but I was more interested about how you fixed them in order to resist manipulation as much as possible. Did you use glue or Pin or something else?

thank you again and have a great day.

I beg your pardon CPN. I am not a gamer and do not handle the figures too much after they're completed. Those are affixed with ordinary super-glue. Here is the States it is marketed as Zap-a-Gap.

Cheers,
Kurt
