Some new pieces #3 - Napoleonic

Posted by Bramble15 on 12 Aug 2015, 21:49

I had this post all set last night and instead of hitting submit I closed the page! Got mad and went to bed  I figured I would seperate these as they are all Nappies and all more related than the other figures posted.

Well Rich I'm speechless. So many beautiful Nappies in one post. Your French Hussars are match to those of Victorious Secret  Very inspirational.

And I agree with Gunnar. Napoleonic Swedes had so nice uniforms. We should paint them more.

These are terrific. :-D

I painted the Swedish infantry and artillery earlier this year and never got around to the cavalry (which is odd a I've been painting nothing but nappy cavalry this year).

Love the hussars too - are you painting up all the French hussar regiments?

Thank you for kind comments.

Yes I am, admittedly extremely slowly. awhile back I found a blog of a guy who painted up Perry Miniatures Hussars and represented each of the regiments. I am trying to do something like that also considering the illustrations of Tim Reese. While I am not a master converter I will mange to cut and glue arms, different hats etc. to get some sort of variance. So yes that is my plan. We will see how long this takes!

That's probably the first time that I've seen the whole range of HaT's Swedish cavalry painted. Well done!

An amazing selection of Napoleonic figures here.

We need more Scandinavian figures manufactured covering all countries, but I like your versions, very nice. :-)

Regards,
Karl.

Thanks again for the kind comments. I got the sprue of Swedish Cavalry from HaT as a part of their random box sale. At first glance I was not all that taken but once the primer went on much more detail came out. Turned out to be a real fun project painting them up. Since I am not much of a researcher I printed the painting guides from the HaT site and tried to match my paint as best as I could.
