Great job and thanks for posting! It's obvious that this was a project that inspired you and it's good to see that you followed through on your vision. If you are happy with the results, and you should be, then that's all that really matters.

I think you will find that members on this forum are very supportive. Those that give criticism should really be seen in the light of encouragement and coaching. Please continue to post.

Yeah great job...I remember my first two dioramas... First one had sawdust as grass and it won third place at International Model Show at Zenta in August 2012, and yours looks better...

This is really ambitious and grand and I'd love to see more. There's so much to look at. Could you post some more, with a few close-up pictures?

I agree with all that have posted before me. I really like this, as stated this is very ambitous for a first go and I would bet it was a ton of fun that produced a fantastic sense of accomplishment when completed.

@DickerThomas - you stated "i know that i have to learn much more about painting figures and building a diorama "

I would only add, as long as you are having fun and enjoy it! Your progession with painting, building and taking photos will come with practice not pressure! Great job and looking forward to seeing more in the future!

Well done indeed. You have captured the ' feel' of the thing which is in my opinion the main object. Practise, and time are great helpers as are the posts on the forum. Have a look at Wolfgang Meyers Croeburn site for inspiration. I did, and had to start all over again!

Well Dicker Thomas, your Diorama is a smash hit and in the right direction for me. I like it very much indeed. Napoleonic`s are tops in my book. I would only suggest you strive for better looking photo results. Plan out your photo shoots, and practice. Remove stuff from the shoot that will be a distraction for those that view. Close up shots of sections of your work, can be placed along with the Panoramic View, and can heighten the intended theme of the piece. I can see you know how to paint, and build stuff. That involves using your imagination, and requires lots self discipline, because of the time factor involved with painting so many model soldiers. Just remember we can all learn a little something every day especially me. I look forward to seeing more of your work. BB

We all improve over time & practice. Your "starting point" is already well advanced.

I enjoyed looking at this.

@Dicker Thomas take it for my example, I have a problem with hand shaking...When I started I wasn't even near as you...Everybody said ,,Give it up...'' Now from my example I didn't gave up to thing I really didn't like it, like playing 4 years volleyball(I hated every second of playing volleyball, the pressure, the constant yelling and humiliation)... So I said to my self I want now to do something I like...So I did, got few medals at local competition, and what happen...Two days ago I met out volleyball captain, who was best player...You know what he do now...He play for team of some local village in F league... So I got proof...Do what you like and what you are good in and you won't do bad...Doing things you don't like and because other said to you is idiotic...
The best part I gave my diorama to local Museum, many people will see it...
