1° Reggimento Fanteria Leggera

Posted by Rosbif on 12 Sep 2015, 11:57

Hi all,

The Neapolitan project sputters along slowly. This time I've painted the 1st Light Infantry Regiment using HaT French Light Infantry set 8042 and Esci French Line Infantry set 227.

There are a few modifications: Some of the HaT figures have had their ugly heads swapped using either heads from surplus Esci figures or Franznap heads. A couple of Esci figures have had their heads twisted to make their poses more realistic, and a couple have backpacks or saber/bayonet combos added.

Very nicely grouped and painted figures! In particular i love the mud which makes them seem that much more battle hardened!
If i were allowed to find fault I'd mention the white stones that to my mind don't quite blend in with the rest - may i suggest a sepia/umber wash which will bring out the texture and merge in better!
