SCW Nationalist Infantry

Hi,

After all the SCW Republican units I’ve been painting lately, here they comes my first bunch of Nationalist.

I have made a couple of platoons, each one with 3 squad bases with 3 figures plus a platoon command base with 4 figures, a company command base (5 figures), light mortar base, machine gun (Hotchkiss) base and 4 tanks: 1 Panzerbefehlswagen I command vehicle and 3 Pz.Kp.fw IA. 2 of them are some of the few units modified in Spain to be re-armed with the 20 mm Breda antiaircraft canon.

All figures are metal made and produced by Minairons, and the hard plastic vehicles are Minairons (the 3 Pz.Kp.fw IA) and First-to-Fight (the Panzerbefehlswagen I).

Beautiful works once again! How do you get the extra metal shavings off of the figures?

Bluefalchion, I’m not sure to get your words right. But if by shaving off the extra metal from the figures you mean cleaning them from molding defaults, I must say that this credit goes to the manufacturer, Minairons, not to me.

What you can see is what you get straight from the box. The running figures holding the rifle in one hand needs some building (to glue the rifle and hand to the figure arm) and the machine gun comes in two pieces.
I’m not an expert on metal figures but to me they seem to be very nicely designed and produced miniatures.
