Nice work again!

Are that the kind of tanktracks that must be held in warm water before placing them on the tank?

For the tank from Revell tank tracks are used with individual links and segments generally. I like this kind of tank tracks. Processing is quite easily and I feel the tracks look pretty real. :yeah:

Nice little Dio.
The base with the metal plate is a nice touch.
Small bits here and there like the cartridges, boxes etc.
The black white foto
It seems to be verry windy because the flag waves instead to hang down.
I like the capured bucket form the Ivan.

I have two models from Revell and the tracks are in one part. You have to place them in warm/hot water to make them weak. After that yoou can put them in place on the model. That's why I asked! ;-)

Best tank tracks ever to place: good old Matchbox! :-D

@ Peter
I think your Revell tracks don`t need warm water. The idea with one single hardplatiktrack to bend and the development of the Revell model are from Matthias Conrad. I do it with an sdkfz 250 from MK 72 (developed by Matthias Conrad too). With a little bit care and skill it works verry, verry well. The Plastik Revell/ MK72 use is hard but soft enough. There are small notch between each link to bend. If Hasegawa as an example will use the same system it will break for sure. Her plastik is verry strong.

My experience with Matchboxtracks from my youth ist that they are so "soft" that you need only an 500 g hammer to bend it. The change of the molds to Revell see a big improvement of the softplastiktrackt that they put into the ex Matchboxkits.

Thanks for the kind comments! Of course I appreciate very much if you like the pictures. :-D

Peter, I have to apologize to you. I had yesterday to write that Revell tank tracks with individual links and segments used in many of its models. For some, I think newer tanks tank tracks are included in one piece. So as it has Wiking described in his commentary.

I've worked one time with it. That was the project 'Modern - Leopard 2A5 (build and paint) - DE', which I have published under 'Work in Progress' a few days ago.

As far as I remember, was in the building instructions actually told to put the tank tracks in hot water in order to better turn then. I have not done that. It goes very well even without hot water, as you can see on the pictures. The plastic is ideal for this and there was no breakage of the material. So a great thing.

Nevertheless, the tank tracks with the individual members are dearer to me. And this kind is indeed offered at very many armored models from manufacturers Revell.

A lovely model of the Rhinoceros but I would have expected it to be a bit more battered and filthy for Berlin.

The black and white shot is pretty evocative.

Best wishes,

Chris

Thanks for the other nice comments and Likes. Glad that you like the diorama. My favorite image is also the black and white photo. I'm just thinking from now to paint dioramas only in black and white ;-) ;-) ;-)

Is now only a little joke from me. But I have seen a figure in 54 mm, which was painted in black and white. It was really a great impression!
