TQD - German Paratroopers in tropical uniform

Posted by GumSmith on 15 Oct 2016, 09:44

Hallo all,
some month ago i get some nice white metal stuff from TQD. Some german and british paras, nice poses, excellent details.
And i also get six german Fallschirmjäger in tropical uniform. As i never had painted figs for mediterranean theatre i thought i could try it just for fun. I based them for a later use as TT-troops.
And for that reason i also repainted and based an old SHQ s.Panzerbüchse 41 for possible later use and painted a base for gun and crew.

And with some figures painted for my Normandy troops. They are TQD brand, too. I think i will get some more of these and paint them with tropical trousers.

I also like TQD miniatures. They are really fine. And you did a very good job!

I have painted some US Soldiers:

@Santifernandez: Do you mean this one ?

The North African style buildings are a resine kit from MK72 (MPK Modellbau Switzerland9, i built this one for box art photo.
And i know, the Preiser palmtree is wrong, as it is carribean tree, not african palm tree. ;-)
I will change it some day.

The Dio-base is ready now, but figures (Preiser and Nicolai) and a Sd.Kfz.250 (also MK72) are still missing. But some day it will be done...

The advantage of this Arab building from MK72 is that they fit in size and quality to the Arab building line from Dio 72.
