@andi
Thank you. (I am happy that it does not be a white one. ;-) )

@Kesko
Thank you for your comment.
Your droplets should be waves  ok you are right it does not look really livelike.
So I give me some space for improvements. :-D .
But I can`t accept that you call the drowning person a man.
It is a nun!

First of all a question: Do you sleep sometime or do you make 24 hours a day model building ????? ;-)

The diorama is just fantastic !! An unusual and great idea. Construction and painting of the figures, the ship and the aircraft are impressive. Everything with great attention to detail. A real eye-catcher !! :yeah:

And I love the SHARK !!!!! :-D :-D :-D

This Dio I build last year.
And "African style" in 2014.

With eye catcher you hit the nail.
A pic of this Dio was a period the commercial for EME 2016. Operation Cherry Blossom.

Thank you for your kind words.
The :winky: shark (Nemo inside) seem to be the hero here.

Great work Erik!

How comes a nun in the water? :eh:

And can you make some more pictures of the complete dio, but from other angles?

I almost lost this. I love it even more than your first naval dio. :-D
I really like the colours of your sea.
Just an idea, that works well with me: Try to mix cotton ( just a little quantity and streched to every direction ) with transparent silicon, then with a toothpick sculpt silicon like waves (follow a photo), if you like you can do again in your model.

Great dio!

Kostis Ornerakis wrote:I almost lost this.

Yes I almost missed this one too and now I understand why:
It was posted more or less at the same time with Flamespyre Phoenix.
After seeing that one I forgot its name again and did not look at yours again thinking it was the same. Appearantly thats how it works at this forum. Or in my brain  :eh:

Anyway, the nun must be in the water because she was part of a colonialist boat trip and launched into the water during the impact of the plane hitting the boat. A dio with lots of things and emotions going on. The Asian sampanman has to solve the problems.
The Europeans do nothing. You caught the face of colonialism very well :yeah:

Did you build the wooden boat from scratch?

Again you describe a situation very well.
Also with the European.
I don`t know what happen if I put there an amount of paper money instead of the nun?

Mr.Cryns wrote:

The base was a flat resin boat. Was it from Frideicus Rex? Can`t remember. I add some balsa wood to look like in the Asia area.
The eyes in front of the Minijunk are stolen from a P40 shark mouth kit.
To get the angle I cut some stuff of the wooden base out.

Thank you Mr. Cryns, your comment hit the bullseye!

:xd: :o :-)

More or less the same I think. The Sampanman has to dive to recover it.
He gives it back to the colonialists and they give him one small coin in return for the effort.

What's the idea behind the giant and the dwarf standing on board?

That the giant (Frog figure) in the second row can see what happen too. Nothing special.

What impress me is that you use the word Sampanman again. In your first post I thought that you give him simply a name. But now, I ask Wikepedia I am impressed by your general education. So my call Minijunk is wrong It is called a sampan.

There is one more figure in this scene. beside the orange and green vegetables. In a terracotta vase he open the top. He hear the noise around and think that the sampan has crossed the border now.
But I am unable to take a clear pic of him.
But I think if you know you will see him.
