Dark Alliance Troll

Posted by Tragoss on 05 Nov 2016, 20:10

Hello all, today I want to show you the first of my Dark Alliance Troll. I painted the base colour and then I made the wash. I only done some edge highlight, because it should look dark and dirty.
Hope you like him. The pictures are not the best qualitiy because it was already dark outside, when I take it.

Here I compared him with a Emhar 1/72 Viking

BB - These are 1/72 War Trolls from Dark Alliance. I would think that this is the right place for this to be posted, not "other scales". They're supposed to be big and its good to see a comparison photo next to a regular height 1/72 man.
Tragoss - Nice paint job. Looking forward to get my hands on some of these soon too.

Yes 20mm,I fully agree, with your comment, but I was unaware of that fact.
Members need to put relevant information of scale on their topics.
After all who is an expert upon such matters?

As I consider these Fantasy figures can come in all great sizes,
as big as a large 20mm building, O `,How I wish we had our Fantasy & Sci- Fi Sub Forum back.

I myself had many a topic hidden there so my comment should not be seen as prejudicial.

 "BB,does not discriminate where toy figures are concerned."

Perhaps this could be put to a vote that Benno might consider. :-D "Sci-Fi Fantasy back,Yes Please!"

This kind of size figure in my opinion will only add to confusion.

Perhaps I should have placed my 10 cm Cyclopes figures here,
because I wanted to use 20mm figures with them.
Atlantic figures would have been perfect to use.

I hope others can see the logical friendly point I raise. :-D BB

BB I agree that maybe there should be a fantasy forum. This may be a good thing since the fantasy line of 1/72 scale figures is growing. :yeah:

I do disagree with you in relation to your cyclops. There is a difference between a product that is sold and marketed as 1/72 scale figures, (which the trolls are) and what one may "want" to use with their 1/72 scale figures (such as your cyclops) that are clearly not marketed or sold as 1/72 scale figures. If you wanted to post for instance the Cyclops from the Atlantic set that was marketed and sold as being in the 1/72 scale then that would be ok. I hope you can see the logical difference. ;-)

I know you meant no disrespect or prejudice and I hope you do not take offense to my responses. Its just your post was ill informed, so was providing you with some information you may not be aware of.

I would like to see clearer pictures of your troll, but I am fully aware that he will turn to stone if you use sunlight. Other than that he looks like a perfectly sized 1/72 troll. No, I won't troll this topic with pics of trolls in other sizes and shapes!

Gunnar, I bow to your wisdom concerning Trolls.
However I am thinking a figure turned to stone would certainly devalue it for sure.BB

Yup! If you are going to take photos of trolls beware sunlight! Some of them explode!
