Kielmansegge's Brigade

Posted by thomaspicton on 26 Dec 2016, 18:12

Happy Christmas everyone. I haven't posted for a while so here is my latest effort - a double battalion square consisting of Hanoverians - the Bremen Battalion and the Feldjager Corps, both from Kielmansegge's brigade.

The figures are re-purposed from various sources including the Imex American sets and some Sikh Wars British. Hope you like them, it took me a while to paint all 600.

Well done sir. I am always amazed at the dedication it takes to complete a square or a scene of this size. Sometimes I feel like my stuff will never get done and it may only be 10 figures.

Many thanks everyone, this was a big task and took a bit of time. I might try something smaller next!

Hello Mr P. Some interesting conversion ideas in action here and using Sikh British is inspired.

Best wishes,

Chris

Thanks Chris, you are too kind but I need to learn some of your photographic skills. My squares are basically the architectural building blocks of my project - not quite as vital as your scenes, but will provide structure when I eventually get round to making the diorama.

New Line make two scales: 20mm and 1/72. Their Sikh Wars 1/72 British are slightly bigger than their mainstream 20mm figures. It's interesting that the Prussian Feldschmutze headdress, worn by the British in the 1830s/40s on campaign, and now worn by most armies, became pretty much the longest lasting uniform legacy of the Napoleonic Wars.
