Austro-Hungarian Cuirassiers

Posted by FredG on 25 Apr 2018, 16:39

Finally we have the cuirassiers in facings of Red, Blue, Green, and Black. That covers every regiment in the Austro-Hungarian cavalry. The regimental differences would then be just on button colour or a darker shade of blue.

They're an old set so I may excuse the amount of flash due to an old mould, there again I may not.

As I've explained previously there are 32 figures due to one sprue being KGL Lt Dragoons. The two malformed horses didn't help either. At least the replacement Zvezda horses are not that obvious in the group.

Anyway, enough prattling.

CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!

I admire your will to paint so many figures in such short time.
And they're all nicely painted and based. Splendid work

There's a female insisting I reduce the size of the stash. ;-)

Oddly enough, no matter how fast I paint the stash isn't reducing but don't tell MrsG

The longer daylight hours means I will be spending an increased amount of time tending to my plants. That will tend to slow down my painting. Plus if we ever get a hot period I call a halt as the acrylics tend to dry on the brush before I can get it to the figures. This year though if/when that happens I'll be covering the older bases with my grasses. :-D

Excellent stuff especially en masse. I like big units, twenty five to a cavalry unit and fifty for infantry in my armies.

Keep up the good work.

Best wishes,

Chris
