2nd Nassau Regiment

Posted by Bill Slavin on 24 Aug 2019, 15:14

I managed to lay my hands on HaT’s excellently sculpted Nassau infantry earlier this year and was eager to paint them up as one of my growing number of foreign ally units serving with the French in Spain. Here are a few photos of the results - if you are interested, more and a brief history of the unit can be seen here on my blog.

Those are very cool. And I enjoyed your write-up as well. Those German types had to switch sides often during those years.

Thanks, Aaron. Yes, with all the side changing no wonder they kept the same uniform for Waterloo!

Great stuff, and probably my favorite Hat set, although I would struggle to tell you why, it just is.

Thanks, all.

Zulu, I think what I like about this set is the nice clean sculpts, realistic proportions and natural poses. I would agree it is one of the better aHaT sets.

Indeed, that is a very nice set of figures; and you've made them look even better.

Lovely painting and that figure makes for a very proud pose for the standard bearer.

Again, thanks for the encouragement. There is so much good painting on this forum and it is always gratifying to share. I learn a lot by seeing what others are doing and having a well-sculpted set to begin with really helps.
