Some Volkssturm

[Fire at Will]

I seem to be in a race with my mate Andy to finish sets we have shared and yet again he beat me to it. These are Mars figures and like many of their newer sets they are quite nice mouldings. I gave them a mix of civilian and military dress all linked by a yellow Volkssturm armband.


They will all end up fighting in "Fall of the Reich" games together with whatever other mixed figures I want to combine them with.

I really like the colors you have chosen and the basing and painting you have performed.

In terms of military value, I have read that the Volkssturm units were pretty close to being absolutely worthless. I suppose your ruleset will reflect this?

A silver lining on the horizon !
There are hope an a Volksturm unit on the Oder river. Against the (huib`s) T34 flood.
On the right flank, there are many JS-2 and only - hope.

Bluefalchion is destroying all the motivation of Fire at Will`s TOP painted unit.

Maybe Andy was faster as you painting them, but I like yours more! Better choice of colors I think.

Andy, Richard and I are hoping to put on a Seelow heights game at Barrage in Staford in July so they might see action together then
