I agree with Kekso. Amazing work there! Could you give us some mor information about your technique for the trousers, please? How to get the decals on such uneven surfaces?

Ah ah... complex work for trousers it's a mix of paint and decals. To stick correctly I use diluted wood glue.it takes a bit practice to adjust small pieces and corrections with a very fine brush

These figures are absolutely wonderful. I take my hat off to Germania Figuren….. well done gents on some top quality sculpts.
But as for the painting good sir…….. you have taken these miniatures to a whole new level! Absolutely brilliant…… my little mind cannot comprehend how decals were used for their pants - I believe they were painted by hand and your brushwork is truly extraordinary. Brilliantly done….. I can’t wait to see more of your work!

I agree with you, F.Bottin. The original figures are great...but your paint job has improved them a lot, specially their pants, as Kekso noted.

By the way, welcome to the forum. :-D

Plaid is tough to translate to this scale, but you have done so with a tour de force performance. Bravo to you, sir.

these are masterful work,! hope you share more on the decal part. do you make/ print your own? where do you find stuff like that?

the contrast of men in plaids and armor is quite stunning. Its like pajama armor from this day n age!

also got to give some props to germania figuren for making some top notch minis, I have not really investigated them too much.

I can't believe they are 1:72 ! Shocking painting, and your trousers are astonishing, in the past I tried with scots tartan and I know what this means, you have reached perfection.
My best compliments

Bonjour F. Bottin,
well I have no idea how you achieve such intricate painting. You joint the club of many painters on this forum featuring just incredible painting styles.
Maybe one day you will contribute a tutorial....
On my side I have to smile at myself. I started painting in this scale because it is easy and quick to get large numbers and they are cheap and very varied. The forum, the few painting competitions I have participated have improved a lot my painting style, and a "minimum" level I want to achieve, but...
Anyway, je m'incline. Bravo
Michaël
