Bad day for Conquistadores

Posted by Iceman1964 on 02 Jun 2022, 11:16

After 5 months of work (about 160 hours) here is the completed diorama of the Aztec ambush to a small group of Conquistadores.
In the work in progress section of the forum you can find the details of manufacturing and painting.
The Caesar figures are really top level as details and poses, and painting the bizarre and colourful dressing of the Aztec warriors was real fun !
Ground, trees , plants and flowers took me a lot of work, but it was really necessary for such type of diorama.

Hope you enjoy it ;-)
ciao
Enrico

I feel the Spanish will end up being honoured by the Aztec.

Evidently, having your heart torn out, your head removed & your liver eaten was an honour.

My dear Enrico,
it is a pleasure to admire your nice figs.
A very good Dio with a wealth of details.
But I also admire your discipline and patience
to bring such a complex work to an end.
My respect.

It's a wonderful diorama, Enrico!

Actually, we shouldn't be surprised once we saw the high quality of its elements separately. But all together the improvement is evident.

Best regards! :-D

Very different and very well executed diorama in my opinion.

Great painting and groundwork to highlight the composition.

Best wishes,
