Italian guard grenadier

Posted by Bendy_Straw on 05 Jan 2023, 14:32

Hello there. Here is another quick mini for my little off time from the military. This time the "convertion" is a guard grenadier painted as a guard grenadier... but Italian. I only had to trim away the grenades on the cartridge box.

Wonderful and precise paintjob. Instead of the grenades you painted a eagle freehand?

No, the eagle was there already. The grenade on the bearskin is freehand though

Aah yes, the grenades are in the corners of the cartridge box.

He looks a bit pale to me :) but very detailed and nice blacklining. Good work!

It's always a challenge to paint a Napoleonic uniform, but you've passed the challenge with flying colors, using this fantastic Zvezda French Imperial Guard grenadier, Bendy. It's a nice figure, as is also the base!

Yep ….. a very nice variation on the usual Bendy. It sounds like a very simple conversion but I haven’t seen this uniform before. Was interested to see that the greatcoat colour of blue atop the backpack didn’t change.
Lovely base as well although it seems a little on the big side….. my guess is it’s a temporary resting place for this fellow……

Very nice work. Hopefully you can add some reinforcements for him when you get the time!

Beautiful! The Italian grenadiers are not often painted, thank you very much for this original figure (the hand painted grenade on the bearskin is great).
