Fun fact. Two trie color Africa Twin, two Ducati red, white red, and two Tenere 700 (my one is the hidden one) in Rally red, white. A double tribble. The other Tenere was driven also by a German. I met him during this trip two more times.

Oh ! a mountain hut. Drinking is important ! I get my drink. Give back the bottle. The one who make the food ask me if I want soup. More fluid for my body, yes. Get it free !
Am I the last one ? No there are some french who sleep here that night. Ok !
How much? 45 € with breakfast and the meal tonight. My lips do not wait for the order of my brain and they spell "Take it". One french girl speak German. What a cool end of a superb day !
The night was a bit windy, you see the result of my bike protection cover. :eh:

Morning has broken ...

I did not make it into the city of Menton. The final destination.
I was exhausted. Totally. By impression of that route !

My last night.

Now what was the plan and what happened?
My plan (I read somewhere that it is possible) was to drive the Route des Grandes Alpes in two days down and in two days back.
Boy ! Do underestimate that Nature !
So I decide at the second day that I drove the route in four days and back across Italy, Switzerland to Germany on the Motorway.
Four days are not enough ! Belive me.

You should drive that road. Yes, DO IT !!!

In October 2022 (sit together drink a glass of wine) in a Biker Hotel (My very first trip with my Bike) a live experienced couple (She !) told me that I should drive the Route des Grandes Alpes.
OH Man ! eh Woman! what A Tip !

As always pictures say nothing. See it with your own eyes!
Tanks for watching.
And modelling is still started, bit small but better as nothing.

Spectacular scenery to be riding in. I would want to stop at too many things and take me weeks. I was particularly interested by the column with the words about Chasseurs and Genie; was that the remains of a lookout post built by the French army? I hope you had a lovely trip.
Cheers,

Bessier all I know is that the french army build this street.
They started in 1913 and finished it complete in 1970.

It was a superb trip !
