We made it just fine. In fact we didn't get any wind at all where we are...we have like 20 trees in and around the yard including a humongous live oak in the back yard and a gigantic pine (it's actuall double pine or whatever...two very big trees sharing the same base) at the front. I was here for the tornados, but my boy will not stay in this house for the next ones that come through. So, I was at the window...waiting for the first sign of a gust.

Now we have soaking rain...started yesterday...that's suppossed to turn into snow this afternoon. Snow???

We have snow. Not much, just so the ground is white. Fits the season, but if we get more it's no fun anymore. Driving the missus' wheelchair can be pretty hard when the snow is a couple of decimeters deep (the local government seems to think that our town is located somewhere in southern Europe or something, it's the same thing every year: "Oh, what is this white stuff? Does we have to take it away? Nah, we'll wait a while.") I'm happy that we don't have any strong winds, just snow and cold weather (will probably be around -20 C in January and February, now it is just around Zero).

That sucks suso. I've never thought about trying to get around in a chair during the snow and ice. We almost never have any snow and it's a 50 year event for it to actually accumulate on the ground, but I've spent winters in indiana, Germany, Hungary and connecticut...it's damn near impossible on two feet.

I can't stand the cold weather...if the tempurature gets below 65F I become the biggest moaning wussie in the Western Hemesphere.

It'll be back in the 70's next week... .

I love cold snowy mornings, when the sun comes out, I just want to be in the hills with my camera...awesome. Don't like rain though, and we get more of that than snow in the NW UK, its the east coast that gets all the snow

Every winter I think of being a bear instead and hibernate, but then I get hungry and leave it. Cold sucks big time, but it's only 3 or 4 months of the year. :-D

I'm communicating with y'all through a brand new modem now.

We got blasted with some vicious lightening yesterday morning. Didn't last longer than 10 minutes but it fried our modem and...my wallet is still in the corner, curled up in a fetal position, crying...zapped the circuit board on our Air Conditioning.

Everyone of the next door neighbors TVs was wipped out.
