Well I bought a couple of things over the last few days, and the 1st of them turned up today.

The Imex Korean War set. 2 x US Infantry, 2 x Chinese, 1 x North Korea and 1 x South Korea all in a big box. Picked in up online for NZ$69 (or about US$35. I'm fairly happy with that as I normally would be paying $18 - $20 for each set. It's an era that I haven't done much with so far, mostly using the sets I have as components for conversions, but I now feel compelled to do some Korean war figures too.

I also won on an online auction some Revell modern Germans, some Modern US (mix of brands) and some Vietnam era figures (mix of Pegasus and Esci).

What have you guys bought recently?

I'm pretty boring, I only buy at my local hobbyshop. But it's a good way to not buy to many sets (they don't have many manufacturers and not many sets from each: Airfix, Italeri, Waterloo 1815 and Zvezda). :-D

The last/latest set of figures I bought was Italeris new Arab Warriors. After that I've bought some trees made by Heki.

I got some guys from a new period. Picked up the Caesar Maya warriors, very nice sulptung I must say. :thumbup:

I bought a book today

The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Uniforms of the Napoleonic Wars by Anness Publushing Ltd. (although I got the Dutch version by Veltman Uitgevers, € 14,95 at the White Bookmarket - the Dutch will know what that is ;-)

).

Nice book, 256 pages at A4 size, full color with many illustrations, first 35 pages are an introduction into the political and military situation at around 1800 ad.

The only negative point, the Netherlands an Nassau are not incuded in the book... :angry3:

My last purchase were two brushes with synthetic hair. I will give them a try.

Today I visited our local toy store to buy a birthday gift for my daughter (she will have her third birthday soon) and I saw two new (old) Revell-Sets there. Prussian Infantry and British Rifles. So they are on the market now! But this is nothing for me.

The last figures I bought were from UK. British WW1 Heavy Gun V8 Howitzer with gun crew and extra shells from HLBS. Absolute great figures and models. But it is in 28mm. Not so interesting for the most of you.

And I already know my next purchase.....Medieval Peasant Army and Russian Footsoldiers from Zvezda!!!

BTW you forgot that you purchased some metal figures from ME.
So that is your last one.

Well, with me it is very easy: I have my own webstore in figures 1:72, where I can buy from myself what ever I want.

$8-9US translates to $18-20NZ.

At one stage 2 years ago, it was more like $12-13. :-D

I just bought the German High seas fleet battlecruisers from CSC. (1/2400 scale)
I now have
SMS Derfflinger
SMS Seydlitz
SMS Moltke
SMS Von der Tann
SMS Lutzow
SMS Blucher (I know, not strictly a Battlecruiser but part of Hippers scouting fleet none the less.)
As well as 4 Emden Class and 2 Madgeburg Class Light Cruisers.
CSC has free shipping on orders of $25-$50 within the US. The castings are great, accurate, clean, and half the price of GHQ!
Unfortunatly they only sell one class of DD, so I will probably have to buy the (Expensive!) GHQ destroyers.

Which year of the High Seas fleet are you going for? Looks like 1916 Jutland to me. Do you have an Admiral Fisher to provide an opp-force?

I'm more of a Harpoon guy myself, but do enjoy the Great War naval "what-ifs".

that sounds interesting! could you show us a picture of them my Captain?
I used to be a fan of WW1 naval battles, but that didn't take long cause at that time I only knew 1/700 waterline and bigger scales. :oops:

Picked up some Italeri US Vietnam and some Revell Modern Germans in an online auction. A guy who lives in the South Island of NZ is getting rid of his entire 1/72nd collection, and there's an amazing amount of it. Maybe not Mike Creek sized, but still a lot.

Hi Guys.

I recently bought almost a complete Gaul/Celtic army,
Airfix ancient britons (not the best but a bit nostalgic for me), Italeri Gaul warriors and Celtic cavalry. The last one has just 3 poses but are really beatiful sculpted.
And 2 sets of Hat, Gallic command and the warrior queen.

And now i have to think about what i'm going to do with them.......

Which brings me to a question about prices. Here in the netherlands i pay euro 6.50 for the italeri sets, 5.65 for the hat sets and 4.25 for the airfix box. How are the prices in other countries, especially in england (were planning to go to london in may and i'm wandering if i have to take an extra empty suitcase with me)

in Germany the average prices are nearly the same like in the Netherlands.
